About Dr. Wood
With over 13 years of experience, gynecologist Thomas Wood, DO, leads the team at Women’s Center for Health and Wellness in Fort Smith, Arkansas. As a board-certified OB/GYN, he has a special interest in pelvic reconstruction surgery and minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Wood graduated with his Bachelor of Science in zoology from the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville. He then earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, before completing his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Dr. Wood is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG). He is a member of the ACOG, American Osteopathic Association, and Arkansas Osteopathic Medical Association. He is affiliated with several hospitals in Arkansas, including Mercy Hospital Fort Smith, Baptist Health-Fort Smith, and Baptist Health-Van Buren.
Outside of work, Dr. Wood volunteers with 1st Choice Pregnancy Center in Fort Smith. In his free time, he enjoys golfing, hunting, camping, and spending time with his family.
